For a World where Diabetes is not a Death Sentence
SOO-DAWI's Mission
To save lives and improve health outcomes by making diabetes prevention, detection, and care accessible.
SOO-DAWI (pronounced 'Sou-Da-Wee') embodies both pain and hope, reflecting the struggles of diabetes and the possibility of a fulfilling life with the right support. Inspired by the Arabic term "سوداوي" (melancholic/bittersweet), it symbolises the duality of diabetes, its lifelong challenges and the resilience it demands.

TESTIMONIALS
Voices Of Hope
At SOO-DAWI, every life touched is a story worth sharing. Our Testimonials celebrate the voices of individuals, families, and communities whose lives have been changed through awareness, care, and support.
I’ve had diabetes for a few months now, but the medicine is too expensive. The doctor said I should take it twice a day, but I can only manage once a day, three times a week, so it lasts longer. SOO-DAWI told me that’s risky and not safe. They’re now helping me find better, affordable ways to manage my health.

When I found out I had diabetes, I didn’t tell anyone. I felt ashamed. But after talking to the SOO-DAWI team, I realised it’s not something to hide. I’ve told my family, and I feel free. SOO-DAWI helped me get insurance to cover my doctor visits and monthly medicine. That’s a big relief.

After SOO-DAWI’s health class at school, I now understand what food is good or bad for my body. I also learnt that girls like me are more likely to get sick from diabetes if we don’t take care of ourselves. So now, I’m being more careful with what I eat and drink, and I’m telling my friends and family too. We all need to know this.
